About the Author

I realized at a young age that I would spend much of my life putting pen to paper. I began recording stories even before I learned to read. My childhood heroes were not rock stars or Hollywood heartthrobs. No, my interests lay with the writers, those who artfully crafted words to both inform and delight.

Today, I am such a writer, and my mission is to deliver to you the content you need to make a statement, to make your business, newsletter, or website shine.

During the course of my secondary education, I served as reporter and photographer, and later editor, of The Yellow Jacket newspaper. During my time with The Yellow Jacket, it was heralded as Best Overall Newspaper by the Tennessee High School Press Association, as well as receiving awards for specific articles and in layout design.

During my time as a university student, I first published with Creative Nonfiction's online journal, Brevity, as well as The Red Mud Review. I hold an associate's degree in liberal arts and a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology, with a minor in leadership. I have found that each of these sciences has brought a greater degree of understanding and a broader perspective to my work. I also completed classes in photography and writing for the internet. My love of learning continues to be cultivated through conferences, seminars, and

 additional classes.

In 2012, I published my first juvenile fiction novel, Life is Stranger at Worthington High. In 2016, I published a book of nature photography called Captivated.

I have been working as a professional freelance content writer since 2016, both through firms such as Textbroker and directly with clients. To date, I have released nearly 1,000 texts to happy customers.

In the past year, I have written and published poetry, fiction for children, book and product reviews, blog posts about weddings, travel articles, gourmet recipes, how-to's, and much more. I have experience in food service, international cuisine, landscaping, dog training, aquarium keeping, and urban homesteading, all of which add flavor to my writing. I have happy clients in such diverse regions of the world as Spain, Canada, and across the United States.

Every business will at some point require the services of a writer. From menus to brochures to informative web pages and blog posts - as well as proofreading and editing existing material - I work hard to ensure your business puts forth its best possible image.

I’m never afraid to tackle any project, no matter how large. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like to learn more or receive a project quote.
